Working Student Quantitative Portfolio Management - Fixed Income (f/m/d)

The Advanced Fixed Income team of Allianz Global Investors is offering an 18- to 24-month part-time working student position starting as soon as possible. We are looking for forward-thinking and results-oriented Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. students. This position is based in our Frankfurt office.

What you will do

Contribute to the development and optimization of investment processes
Conduct research and gather data on specific bond issuers
Analyse the data to provide insights and support decision-making
Interpret company and bond issuer reports (financial statements, metrics, governance, etc.)
Optimize processes, ideally using Python.

What you bring

Bachelor, Master or PhD student in a quantitative and/or analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics)
Understanding of the bond market and bond issuers (preferred but not mandatory)
Preferably some background in macroeconomics and/or accounting
Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling
Being data driven and programming affine
Experience with SQL and Python
Ability to use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices
Very good English (at least C1) communication skills
You are organized, self-motivated and able to work independently with high reliability
Ability to work in a dynamic environment as a team player.
