About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to be a close sparring partner for our business functions and production sites in Germany. This strategic role will work closely with site leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, support operational goals, and lead a versatile set of HR-related initiatives across the entire employee lifecycle.
A critical component of this role involves managing strong, collaborative relationships with the Workers’ Council, ensuring compliance with German labor laws, and fostering a positive employee relations environment. Therefore, German language skills on a native level are required.
Your Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnering:
- Act as a trusted advisor to site leadership on all people-related matters
- Drive HR strategies aligned with business goals for manufacturing/production operations and business functions
- Partner with functional leaders to build workforce capabilities, enhance performance, support change initiatives and leadership development
Employee Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee all HR processes from recruitment and onboarding to offboarding in strong collaboration with our internal People Operations and Talent Acquisition teams
- Drive HR initiatives along the employee lifecycle including but not limited to employee development plans, performance reviews & calibrations, promotions, organizational restructuring, internal mobility and succession planning
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and corporate policies together with our People Operations team. · Work on strategic HR programs related to health & safety and employee wellbeing
- Analyze HR metrics to inform decision-making and continuous improvement
Workers’ Council & Labor Relations:
- Serve as expert within the Agile Group regarding Labor relations (Workers’ Council/ Betriebsrat)
- Act as advisor within HR and towards management regarding regular consultations, negotiations, and agreements (e.g., Betriebsvereinbarungen)
- Ensure legal compliance and proactively mitigate risks related to employee relations
Essential Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strong negotiation, execution skills and solution orientation
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on operational execution
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
Your Profile
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field
- Minimum 7-10 years of HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
- A strong track record in having advised scaling organizations in a tech-savvy environment
- Proven experience working closely with Workers’ Councils (Betriebsrat) in Germany
- Strong knowledge of German labor law and co-determination processes
