The HR Business Partner with strong labor law and strategic HR experience will be responsible for ensuring compliance with labor laws and driving strategic HR initiatives that align with our organizational goals. This role requires a deep understanding of labor law and exceptional strategic thinking. Key responsibilities include advising on labor law matters, developing HR strategies and managing employee relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor law and HR, with proven experience in developing and implementing successful HR strategies. What you do:
- Ensure the organization is fully compliant with local, national, and international labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and update company policies and procedures to reflect changes in labor law.
- Conduct regular audits of HR practices to identify and rectify any compliance issues.
- Serve as point of contact for resolving complex employee relations issues, including grievances and disciplinary actions.
- Mediate disputes and negotiate settlements in accordance with legal standards and company policies.
- Foster a positive work environment through proactive employee engagement strategies.
- Draft, review, and implement HR policies that support organizational goals and comply with legal requirements.
- Steer and lead negotiations with internal employee representative bodies on the respective topics
- Lead efforts to educate employees and management on new policies and procedures.
- Monitor policy effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements.
- Identify potential labor law risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on HR compliance and risk management activities.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed to address specific legal challenges.
- Maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and external legal advisors.
- Represent the company in labor law-related discussions, negotiations, and hearings.
- Participate in industry forums and networks to stay informed of best practices and emerging issues
What you bring:
- Completed studies in law with a focus on labor law, Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in labor law and strategic HR roles.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and HR practices.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful HR strategies.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional certification in HR or labor law is a plus. Proficiency to work in English and German
- Affinity and interest in Gen AI topics like, chat gpt or copilot
