Job Description
- To supervise and control all cost-related activities, ensuring effective cost management, accurate reporting, and compliance with company policies in order to maximize profitability and operational efficiency
- Supervise daily cost control operations and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Monitor and analyze Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) and investigate variances.
- Review purchase invoices and verify them against contracts and agreed pricing.
- Supervise periodic and surprise inventory counts and ensure stock accuracy.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports on costs, variances, waste, and profitability to management.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Stores, and Finance departments to ensure data accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with internal cost control policies and procedures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend actions to reduce waste and improve margins.
- Train, guide, and supervise cost control staff (if applicable).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Cost Control (preferably in Hospitality, Restaurants, or Manufacturing).
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and cost accounting systems.
